I create mixed media paintings, drawings and prints in Ishikawa, Japan.
I have a deep affection for the steadiness of everyday life. Richness lives in simple human acts, and I collect small moments that make up our lives and capture them through lines, colors, and marks. Making art is a daily practice of gratitude that keeps me grounded.
My work is an invitation to pause and notice—to find contentment in the small rhythms that make up a day. In a world that often feels chaotic, it's about choosing what to pay attention to. I shift my attention toward moments of quiet beauty, not as an escape, but as a way of honoring what matters.
My studio is a space where I notice small things—the scratch of graphite, the soft light spilling across the table, the steam rising from my coffee. I embrace imperfection and spontaneity that we can meet only in the present moment.
Creating art and crafting a life are, for me, essentially the same journey. I pause, pay attention and move my hands. Then, I find my rhythm and feel simply here.

I received my BFA in graphic design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for over a decade before gradually cultivating my own art practice.
I love the moment of walking into the morning studio with a good cup of coffee. I’m also a home mender, an avid learner, and a collector of old things―chairs, in particular.
Having visited 35 countries and lived in the US and the UK, I've always been fascinated by observing how people thoughtfully craft their lives around the world. I now live and work in Ishikawa, Japan with my husband, three children, a cat and a dog.

石川県を拠点に絵や版画を制作しています。
穏やかな日々の暮らしが感じられるものに心を惹かれます。暮らしを形づくる小さなかけらを拾い集めて、線や色を使ってかたちにしていく、それが私にとっての「つくること」です。
豊かさは、どこか特別な場所にではなく、日常の中に織り込まれているように思います。暮らしが少しうれしくなるような工夫を重ねることはとても人間らしい営みで、そこには希望を感じます。何かと揺らぐ世界の中で、「大切にしたい」と願うことにきちんと心を傾けたいと思いながら、制作をして発信をしています。
日々のアトリエでは、鉛筆が紙を走る音や、机にこぼれるやわらかな光、コーヒーからのぼる湯気、そんなものたちに心をとめます。人の手が生み出すゆらぎやでこぼこ、そのときにしかない流れのようなものをとらえたいと思っています。
私にとって「つくること」と「暮らすこと」は、ほとんどおなじです。ふと立ち止まり、目を向け、手を動かすこと。日々の穏やかなリズムの中で、いまここにいるという感覚を大切にしたいと思っています。

東京外国語大学入学後に渡米し、Fashion Institute of Technology(New York)グラフィックデザイン科を卒業。デザイナー/イラストレーターとして活動する傍ら、近年は絵の制作や創作そのものへの思索を日々のテーマとしています。
朝、コーヒーを片手にアトリエに入る瞬間が好きです。少しずつ前に進むこと、知らないことを学ぶこと、また、古いものを集めるのも好きで、特に年季の入った椅子には惹かれがちです。
これまでに約35カ国を旅し、アメリカやイギリスにも暮らしましたが、どの土地でも、人が暮らしを丁寧に「つくる」様子に心を動かされてきました。現在は古い家を少しづつ手直ししながら、夫と３人の子ども、猫、犬と石川県で暮らしています。
